Gain weight, inevitably, go with sleep deprivation?
I know that scientists have shown that levels of Leptin And Ghrelin (the hormones that control appetite and hunger levels) are influenced by too little sleep and therefore lead to weight gain. However, I never eat more or exercise less when I have not slept well, so I was wondering if my lack of sleep, however, lead to weight gain? There are no stupid answers like "almost always" Ginny Lee! I want an answer based on scientific evidence. How does an increase in body weight if they exercise less or eat more?
Almost always. The explanation is that your immune system slows down. less inclined to exercise. You may think you are following the same regimine but the reality is that they are not. not overnight but over a period of weeks. plus it is a scientific fact that sleep deprived people have erratic eating patterns also causes the increase – if you want a fast metabolism you need small meals a day 06.05. 3 large that contain the same ingredients that results in increased weight.
